Hi Sisters! This was my week to teach in Relief Society. What a great lesson! It was on the Martyrdom of Joseph Smith. If you haven't read the lesson click here! Since the lesson was so good, I didn't add too much to it, and read a lot of it right from the book. We also read the words to the hymn that Joseph asked be sung right before is death, A Poor Wayfaring May of Grief. This was a powerful lesson about how Joseph knew that his time was at hand, and how he handled knowing that we was going to seal his testimony in his own blood. My favorite quote from my lesson, was by Pres. Monson, he said,
"Although those who sought to take his life felt that the Church would collapse without him, his powerful testimony of truth, the teachings he translated, and his declaration of the Savior’s message go on today in the hearts of over 12 million members throughout the world, who
